I have to replace the bulb under the shift indicator. I looked at the center console but couldn't figure out how to disassemble the console so I can get to the bulb. Did a search but didn't find any postings. Anyone have a few simple instructions as to how to take the console apart?

Very easy to do. No tools needed.

Remove the center gauge pod - put car in drive, grasp the ears of the pod and pull towards you.
Remove the bin from the center console - open the lid and pull up on the lid, the bin will pop out
Remove the center cup holder - pull up on the cup holder
Remoce the trim around the shifter - pull up on the trim.

I have LED bulbs that you can use instead of incandescent bulbs. They use less power, run cooler, last longer and have brighter white light.

I had to check mine and thank goodness its not burnt out yet. Never really paid attention to that one. But what would be the LED replacement?
