haven't been on in a while simply out of jealousy... but i may have found my way of stepping up.
i found a 4.6l 32 valve out of a lincoln continental
i was wondering if i could make that work in my crown vic.
im almost positive all i need to do is switch the intake...?

I think the block is different, and won't bolt to the transmission. Now I've seen a Lincon Mark VIII motor in a Mustang with the Lincon intake on it. Also check for clearance issues at the passenger side cam cover and heater/A/C on the Crown Vic.

i knew of the mark viii but sadly they seem to be less popular in my area than the continental

Block is different, made to bolt to different trans and mounting points are for sideways application.
Now I've heard of people putting that drive train in a Taurus...

They are definitely a diferent drive line. Can I ask what's up you have a blown motor in your crown vic?

FWD 4.6 will not bolt up to RWD transmission

Go 5.4 swap! For the win.

my reasoning for wanting a 4v instead of my 3 is there are alot more aftermarket parts for them and i have the dreaded plastic intake

All crownvic are 2 valve. Plastic intake is fine unless you are boosting.
