I'm in the process of building a new engine for my car, forged SOHC. I'll share more info on the build as it progresses. Anyway, I'm hoping to upgrade to billet oil pump gears and FRPP high volume oil pump. Also looking to add more oil capacity. Need a compatible oil pickup tube, as high flow pumps utilize larger diameter tubing.

My car has a 5quart oil pan. MM has a 6quart. The MM has a newer frame, w/AL crossover and rack&pinion, so it may or may not fit mine. Think there's a good chance it would fit. Trying to avoid a custom Canton.

Questions:

1) Would a MM oil pan fit a pre-03 Panther?

2) Does the MM use a high volume oil pump stock, like the Mark VIII DOHC did?

3) Can anyone post the dimensions of their pan? Would someone in Houston willing to let me look under their car?

I'll take measurements of mine tonight and post.

Thanks,

John

John, I don't know the answers to your technical questions, but if you want to crawl under my car, you're welcome to it. What part of town are you in?

My pan is 1 3/4" deep from the front, starts to curve down 9" back, 5" deep 11" back.
