Trunk lid panel!!

I am looking for the trunk lid panel that bolts to the actual trunk lid. It is the trim panel that the backup lights are attached to. If you don't have one for a Marauder, I would strongly consider one for a Crown Victoria Police Interceptor or LX Sport (LX Sport in black preferably).

Hmmmm. I will check into that. But, I would guess they would be fairly expensive, especially after you factor in paint, too.

marauder specific ones, I'm not sure are still avail. CVPI and CV are..not sure about sport models..They do come painted already but the CVPI ones..they are black plastic and not painted adn I wanna say (as I looked into once a few years ago) they range inprice from nearly $300 to $500 pending paint and if trim is painted or chrome. BUt worth a look thru tousley or tasca ford online and maybe a call to your dealer. It's called a rear panel or reflector panel I believe.

I found one on tascaparts.com for 04 cv..$287.00 but it does not give a specific color or a choice

That's just it, these are hard to find around here!!!! I found one Crown Vic Sport that has a red panel on it that the bottom trim piece is coming off. Don't look too hard to glue back on and then paint black. That yard is asking $35. But, the trunk is closed and they don't have the key.

Ditto. Discontinued. None available. Remember that any CV or GM should work but they do not have the Marauder specific tinted backup lights.

Mine was replaced under warranty because the bottom of it came seperated. They come color coded from the dealer. They do not need to be painted. Make sure you line up the key hole properly.

Well...
And usually they go with the deck lid so may be hard to find

Did find one on eBay from heritageautoparts look under "crown Victoria tail light lid mounted"
65 bucks

Also for 199 is a new one for lx sport from NEATCOLLECTIBLES "ford crown Victoria lx sport rear back up trunk license plate panel

yes, that is what he wants/needs...are the studs broken off and the mount damaged? or just missing? he could possibly take them off the marquis panel and switch. i don;t recall if they are press in, screw in or molded directly at assembly.

Yeah, that's it! I would like to look at it better. My work computer doesn't seem to upload alot of pictures (borrowed someone's iPhone to see the pic :rolleyes:). So, when I get home I will check it out. Is it scratched at all? Can you send me another pic or two (maybe one of the back?)? Thanks!

The studs just unscrew from the plastic......so now you have a threaded hole..

Good news~! One of the local junk yards got a crown vic taxi in with a perfect panel! No scratches or anything, just has some yellow overspray on the ends and a dealership sticker on it. I got it for $25!!:woohoo:

I started to clean it up last night. Peeled the dealership sticker off. I will get the overspray off and post up some pics when done.

Nice find, a few years back I needed one to replace my CV P71 panel and spent months looking because I wasn't going to pay the dealer cost. Never did get one. When the CVs go to the junkyards in my area the taxi cab drivers bust the reverse lenses out first thing so they can look in the trunk. :(
