In Tech 32 valve V8 Plate on a 04 MM ???

Can someone help me out here? Does anyone know if I can install the In Tech 32 valve V8 Plate on my 04 MM? The 03's have them on the valve covers but the 04's do not have them.
Ray Sr (The dealer) said that he can order one for me but he also said that it comes with a gasket. I don't know what this gasket is for; I have the indentation on the driver side valve cover that looks like a plate should be there.

Are you sure you aren't buying the whole coil cover? The plate itself is attached with adhesive on the 2003s. I went to Kar Kraft finned aluminun coil covers with 4.6 32 valve in raised aluminum on each side- they'd look sweet on a 2004 (almost factory color).

I believe he quoted you the whole coil cover and the only ones that come with the "decal" are painted black. I've checked and can't seem to find any way of getting the decal without the whole cover. If you get the cover, you will need to paint the other side to match.

Just a side note, if anyone does take their coil covers off, be sure the gasket is not out of whack during installation. Had a Navigator (same design engine) come in where the coil cover gasket was missing. The spark plug wells filled with water and rusted the spark plug so bad it broke just above the threads while trying to remove it. Head had to be removed to fix it.

I'm not good with names, but the coil covers, the smaller cover that bolts on top of the valve covers (and covers the spark plugs access) with two bolts, come off easily. I replaced mine with chrome ones from Jerry Barnes. I sold my black ones to Sgt. Mac. There is a rubber gromment on the under side of each to keep moisture from running down into the spark plug holes.

I once called the dealer and gave them the actual part number that was stamped on them, and was told he was unable to aquire the covers separately. Apparently another one of those 'need a backup lamp assy and you gotta buy the entire rear end of the car deals'. I was hoping as time went on, some of these 'as assembly only' parts might become available.

Thanks guys...then that explains it, must be the whole coil cover.

Maybe someone can make the plate seperately to fit in the slot on the 04's MM?

I have been working on a project to make custom plates for the valve covers for a while now. I have found a source to make these plates, They 9 color combinations, and can make whatever we need.

The "Standard" Plaque would say "Intech 32 Valve V8", however, if you chose to go with custom, he can do that as well, i.e. You want the GOd's head logo and "Joe's Marauder" on the plate, we can handle that as well...

I agree. It almost looks like someone forgot to put it on at the factory.
