Ok, so, I just had a bad catalytic converter. Scared me, I thought I was having some major bottom end or transmission problems. But, luckily, just a bad cat. So, I replaced them BOTH with a set of MagnaFLow 59956 HiFlow converters with the 200 Count Spun Metallic core per the recommendation of a couple members. So, far, great choice! I will say that it sounds a little quieter at idle (not just because the noise is gone, lol) but the exhaust is noticeably louder to me when under medium to hard acceleration. Not by a huge amount, but still louder. I will give it the final test tomorrow when I am accelerating along side a on-ramp wall (really amplifies the sound). Total = $280 including tax, installation and making a few adjustments to the rest of the exhaust system including two hangers on each muffler. Pretty good, I think!

FYI, DEFINATELY LOUDER AND DEEPER TONE! :burnout:
Actually, would not want it to get any louder....:P

So, started it up this morning with a roar (literally). It is REALLY loud when the engine is cold. I pulled out of the driveway and it was LOUD going down the street. Luckily, there is another guy on my street who drives loud cars like mine! ;) Once the car got to operating temperature, it seemed to quiet down a little. Today, I drove with the windows up and the AC on (fixed the EATC :D). Not too loud from inside the car, except for the first couple miles.
FYI, NO DRONE at any rpm up to 2500-2700 rpm (highest I cruised at).

It 'may' open up some loudness wise with time as well. I had the magnaflow hiflow cats on an old P71 when the factories went out and over a few thousand miles they definetly got deeper and louder, sounded good though. More deep than loud.
