So some of you may have seen the for sale add and know I am looking to buy/ trade for my first MM. What is the full list of options avail over a "base" MM I know there was not many. Second is there any things that I need to be sure and watch for (known problems) that can be big issues?

In 2003 they had heated seats and a six disk remote CD changer. In 2004 they had heated seats, sixdisk remote CD changer, and a Sunroof.

Both '03s and '04s had relatively minor electrical issues relating to the EATC, LCM, and BCM, but all are fairly easy and inexpensive fixes.
Some of the early '03s had issues with soft axles, but again, not a deal breaker for reliability.
A well maintained Marauder will easily top 150K miles; we've got quite a few folks that are north of 200,000 and still going strong.

They're known to have LCM issues, searchable here and easily fixable if you can solder. Some have blend door actuator failures that necessitate taking the dash off the firewall. And the HVAC control head has O rings that dry out and create vacuum leaks that will affect where the air goes in the dash. Again - chimp simple to fix if you search here. The front control arm bushing are not serviceable and you must replace the ENTIRE control arm when the rubber deteriorates. Also, on heated seats the illuminated switches just flash intermittently. All in all my 2004 Marauder cost twice as much as my 2006 Taurus and has been wayyyyy more problematic. Oh, and OE back tires are as easy to find as a three-legged ballerina. But being rare, unique and collectible has made the allure so great that I have arranged to buy back my flawless '04 that I sold 16 months ago.

Traction control was not an option. It was standard on all '03 300Bs and all 2004 MMs.

There was a very short list of options for '04. Heated seats, 6 CD changer, trunk organizer and cargo net were the ones offered to me when I ordered mine. The colors were Black, Silver Birch and Dark Toreador Red. Dark charcoal or light flint interior. You could order a dealer installed spoiler.

I think mine is one of those mid-year mix vehicles, since I don't have heated seats.

Must have been later in the order year since Dark Blue Pearl and Silver Birch weren't offered on the 2003 300a MM. All 300a's were Black.

This is interesting, seems like nothing is set in stone with these cars ... I did not know however a sunroof was a option... That would be awesome!
