For Sale in East Arkansas: My beloved 2003 Mercury Marauder, with 93,792 miles on the clock and BRAND NEW TIRES!!!! I'm the second owner, first owner put 21k miles on it and traded it for a GTO. I came to AR from FL for work, and the timing chain conveniently went out after a couple weeks. Happened in the morning, in the driveway, on the way to work. Valves and heads may be damaged, or may be fine, I don't know and have neither the money nor the time to fix them.

Oil changed every 3k miles. Full synthetic oils only. I put the new tires on before the trip, and they have less than 2k miles on them, if that. Everything works (except the engine now), including AC, although the compressor is starting to make a noise when it runs. Factory radio fades out on FM, but nobody seems to keep them anyways. Speakers are all good, a single tear in the driver's seat that was there when I got the car is the only damage to the interior.

Exterior has a single dent on the rear passenger side :( , which was my bad. Has a K&N air intake, but is otherwise stock. Asking $3500 OBO. It is in Arkansas, but I'm heading to FL soon in my new replacement vehicle, an '87 F-250 Diesel, which was cheaper to buy than it was to fix the Marauder (plus, it can tow it). Circumstances have changed and I need to sell, not fix.
I have relatives in Sterling Heights, Michigan, so if you pay fuel and a trailer, I'll consider bringing it to you lji372.

Also, I have NOT taken the heads or anything off to see if there's any valve damage, so it might be a straight forward timing chain fix, which would probably take me months to get done. I'm just preparing potential buyers for the worst by saying there *MIGHT* be valve damage, since that can happen. I was not revving it up or anything when it happened, just idling out of the driveway. Thought it had stalled on bad gas and the starter went out. Nothing loud or violent occurred.

Meh, probably $1500 still. If it's out of my way, but not too far out of my way, I'll bring it there. Need a brake job for the truck, trailer rental, fuel cost, etc. The truck gets about 12 mpg hwy unladen, and I figure it might do as well as... maybe 8 mpg towing the car and trailer.
