Is there just the two bolts that hold them in?

yes but you will have to loosen the headlights to ease them out

Driver side can come out without the headlight being removed if you have some angled socket joints. Passenger side can be done but it takes some steady hands and time.

I can have my grille, headlights and corners removed in 5 mins or less, only because I have done it a bunch of times on mine and working on other owners MM.

There is also a headlight mod people do to the mounting tabs that have the mounting bolt in them. The direct back of the tabs people will cut a small section out which will allow you to just loosen the bolts and remove the headlight instead of backing the bolts all the way out to remove the headlight. Saves time and cussing when you drop a bolt.

And be equally mindful when putting them back in. Do not force the corners. There will be some finagling to get them to seat properly. You run the risk of cracking the lens if you try to "push" them into position. That one was learned from experience...:mad2:

I loosened the 2 bolts per corner, then removed the nuts with a magnetic pickup tool (Auto zone/Advanced for $5) then just tap the assembly lightly on the back part of it lightly pushing the assembly forward and it will pop out, of course when you replace you'll see the male tab that needs to be inserted and at the same time there's 2 slide clips that will seal the assembly to the car, it's easy, good luck!

Razor knife or hose cutting pliers work just as well.
