Had my 4.10's put in a short while ago and was wondering what I should have done at that time, I know I missed something. I am seeing talk about trac-loc and carbon clutches and 31 spline axels. So my question is what shoud I have done though my DTR is pretty much stock plus basic mods....CAI...LT Headers & HF Cats, Flow Master 40,s along with the 4.10's and install kit.

You have a Traction Lok differential.

If you have to rebuild the differential use the carbon fiber clutches.

Unless you have a supercharger then there is no need for the 31 spline axles.

You sould be good to go. No need to worry about 31 spline axles unless y0u plan on making some big power (i.e 500+ HP).

This stuff is addictive
I am thinking of a Trilogy SC in the future, I like the way it looks under the hood (sounds crazy but it is what it is)
I had no idea what the MM was all about and I have owned a few Lincolns/Mercs 1990 Cartier...2001 Signiture...1998 Marquis GS
When the Marauder came out I always liked it's agressive look

Trilogy stopped making S/C for Marauders.. And they were all sold, so unless you buy one already on a maraduer, your best bet is doing the Eaton Swap which there are plenty of members here with all the info need to succesfully do it with little trouble. You might want to start thinking about it now as it can take a while to gather parts , especially if you look for the deals. It can take 30 days to over a year to gather parts, depending on your time to look for and purchase the goods needed. SC Cheesehead (Rex) has a list of the parts needed for the swap..send him a pm

Well I will consider that as I have about 11k on a Ford rebuilt engine. There was a problem with the crank at about 97k and Ford replaced the engine on under their ESP at a cost of 100.00 to me. Is the Eaton swap all thats out there?

Pretty much unless you want a centrifugal blower. There are several members that have gone that route.

Or you could turbo it, but no small task.

Well, I got this itch and I will have to start scratching it, $$$$ is what is lacking after putting my 4 daughters through $$$ high and college. And one has her master's and 2 are in the master's programs...man I can't wait. With them being out of the house has freed up some $$$.
So, I am exploring possibilities and would like to get something started over the winter while I am not driving The Red Car.

If you are interested in an Eaton swap I would get a complete parts list now and start to pick up pieces for it whenever funds allow so when you are ready to do something you won't really have to wait.

Hey so 31 spline axle isn't necessary in our cars?? I thought about doing it once I do my 4.10 gears.

Not really necessary, especilly for NA cars that see primarily street duty.

I have over 625 1/4 miles runs on 28 axles. I need the clutch again but axle not problems.

Just won Ford Fun Weekend in Rockingham this past weekend. Street Ford Class.
