Boodacades BBQ - Purcellville, VA - Marauder Meet up

Hey gang,

I'm know we have a lot of activity going on this summer with different events and meet ups but I want to gauge some interest for a Marauder meet at Boodacades BBQ in Purcellville, VA. This place is by far the best BBQ joint i've been to in the area! Plus they have great local craft brews on tap (Starr Hill from Charlottesville, VA and Devils Backbone from Lexington, VA)

And hopefully I can try to convince some of you Maryland folks to take a drive into gorgeous Loudoun County, Virginia! Seems a lot of our meets take place in MD, PA so I'm trying to kick start an annual event that will take place in VA!

I'm going to try and get this on the radar for perhaps late August (after NH) or maybe October (after Marauderville in Atlanta) but definitely wanted to get this out there now. If there is enough interest, I will coordinate with the owner, Bo. I'm also good friends with the bartender and server so I'm sure they would be thrilled to get a convoy of us to show up!

Sounds good to me. Will depend on the specific date. :) However, Purcellville is "in the sticks". About 1:15 hours for me and I am one of the closest. Might be a tad difficult for many other CAMers .... assuming they can even find it. ;)

Looks like about a 3 hour drive one way if the beltway cooperates. We're in if I'm in town. Going to Detroit for the Woodward Cruise in mid August then 4 weeks of work travel immediately following.

A couple weeks after Capt Dans meet up and the New Hampshire regional meet. But it's before Marauderville in Atlanta in September and it's also the week before Labor Day weekend

Let me know if this date works for most people and I'll get it on the schedule

Boodacade's is about 215 miles & just under 4 hours from where you will be located on the Eastern Shore. Not an easy drive especially during the summer weekends with the beach traffic. That's quite a haul just for lunch. Maybe we can cut that in half for you and do a "Blast from the Past" and go back to Big Bat's in Stevensville, MD on Kent Island.

Sunday August 25 is the date I had in mind. It's not set in stone as it seems like not a lot of folks can make it.

However if you chime up in this thread and are able to go, please do so. Boodacades is only about 15 miles up the road from me and I would certainly be obliged to meet up with anyone willing to make the trek.

Also they have amazing ribs

Whitey and Fastnino you are the only two who expressed interest. Like I said it's only 12 miles down the road from me and I'll be happy to meet up with you. But i don't want you driving all the way out for just a small get together.

Let me know what your plans on, but I would suggest holding off until I can secure a better date in the future. Most likely after MVII

Hey Nino, I think I'm going to put this meet up on hiatus, unfortunately. I'd love to meet you and see your Marauder in person, but I have to get some work done on Sunday and compounded with the fact not a lot of folks can make it out.
