Trunk key hole and latch

Was wondering how hard/if possible to move the key mechanism tha tunlocks the trunk to about where the factory emblem is on the trunk?? I'm looking to get the big chrome 'M' that MERCMAN has on his trunk. I also don't like the trunk latch where it is and want to cover it or preferably move it.

Anything is possible if you have enough money.

You could proll just eliminate the keyhole mechanism as you've got the ke fob and internal button to operate the latch.

An body shop should be able to fill in the hole for you.

OK, so I have the big "M" with the Gods Heads for the trunk cover on the way. I also looked at the trunk latch and looks like all that is needed it too physically move the latch to the top of the trunk lid where I want. Does anyone know if teh cable needs to be a certain way??? Ofcourse this is all good as long as there is enuff room for the latch and the spoiler doesn't get in the way...

There was someone on the Crown Vic forums that installed a backup cam where the keyhole was on the trunk. It was pretty slick.

Never thought of that...might just have to put an emblem over it for future upgades...
