View Full Version : where is the Airbag Module located?

Lasr year during winter time I had an accident in which my airbags deployed. I have replaced the airbags but i cant find the airbag module, can anyone help?

I read that it is under the dash on the center hump. You'll have to remove the guage cluster and top panel of the center console to access.

I read that it is under the dash on the center hump. You'll have to remove the gauge cluster and top panel of the center console to access.

OP... I assume you really mean the RCM (Restraint Control Module). The air bag module is the actual airbag assembly.

DING DING DING!!!

RoyLPita is correct.

Remove the center gauge pod, remove the center console finish panel and rotate it out of the way, separate the shifter cable from the shifter assembly, separate the shift interlock cable from the shifter assembly, remove the RCM bolts.

i purchased a replacement hopefully that does the trick and removes the air bag light.

yes i was able to locate the complete seat belt assembly from a salvage yard.
