Finally after all this time She is ready! My motor was rod knocking in October 2012 and i was sick n didnt know what to do. I got on MM.net & BigDogJim sent me to a motor shop close to philly in morrisville PA. After searching for my cobra block....getting my heads ported...n everything else she is finally done. I found out why my motor went in the first place...my jack-legged mechanic jacked the car up under the oil pan and pushed the pan into the oil pump causing it not to pump oil thruout the motor so it died of oil starvation at 81,000 miles still a baby smh. But its done and next move is the supercharger!!! Cant wait! But look how clean it is! 34460 34461
Verry nice. What did it cost? if you don't mind me asking

WTF did he jack it with? A bottle jack? I have done this hundreds of times just like most on here, never once an issue! I just cushion it with a 4X4.

New Engine looks great. Congrats!
I can't believe a "mechanic" would mess up an oil pan like that. Definitely didn't use a 4x4!!

That is NOT caused by a jack! No way. This was bottomed out big time on something.. Just look at the drag marks. Was it test driven?? Is that all dusty white marks? Curb, concrete, boulder.

Nothing ever hit the bottom of it...last thing he did was change brakes n rotors all the way around and soon after that the motor went. The shop where my motor work was done said it was jacked up under the oil pan by someone and it all added up from there. I wasnt there for the changing of the brakes n rotors but neighbors told me my car was up evenly n the front and rear when he did them. I think the dust & white marks came from the shop it was sitting on rocks when he flipped it over.

Is this really a Cobra engine? From a 03 or 04?
If so and you are running N/A, it will be slow and some "supercharger engines" without superchargers have been known to blow up due to low compression... so I was told.
I hope this lasts and hope I am wrong.

A little something someone told me when I worked at a car dealer.
During my last build I was thinking of actually being N/A with the Cobra engine until I could afford to rebuild the blower. I pulled a few strings and got everything done right the first time.
The Z man said it would be "Slower than shti", but did not mention any longterm effects.
