So you are going to chop up a Marauder with 125 miles on it and put in a " New 2012 Boss 302 engine" in it?
Don't hack up a pristine low mileage Marauder, hack up the one you currently have and good luck with trying to get that motor set up with the air induction, drive-by wire system, transmission and engine management system.
It's already been looked to do and the cost is just too much along with a lot of custom stuff needed.

ive had a total of 3 Marauders now im sick of the 4.6 engines I needed up the power now and feel a 5.0 plus I already have the 5.0 motor and I have the money to do the custom work that will be needed to make it fit :)... when I pull out the old motor ill put it up for selling with tranny & Engine for $3200.00 I just wont put money into supercharging a 4.6 its pointless not enuff power
You certainly have the enthusiasm and apparently the resources. So if you would post up a "how goes it thread" when you start this project. It would be valuable for those who may wish to go from 4.6 to a 5.0 coyote motor in the future. Maybe this swap would lend itselt to a DIY kit. I would ask that you keep track of part #'s, source of supply and costs for reference.
Good luck with the build.

Hmmmm, really, what's "enough"? With my "street tune", it's uncontrollable at WOT with 295/45 Nitto's.
But kudo's to you for wanting to make the swap, please let the rest of us know what tip's, tricks and stone walls we would run into should we choose to make the swap as well.

The Boss 302 makes 444hp/380 tq at the crank and most likely around 380hp/320tq at the rear wheels if it could be made to work in the Marauder. Most Marauder owners doing a simple Eaton swap with a few more mods are making 420-430hp at the rear wheels for about $4-5k.
It is not a cost effective swap, do what you want but I'm just saying.

No one was questioning what you do for a living. Oh and make sure you upgrade the brake system for that new big powerful engine. ;)

Jeffonebuck: yes 125 miles on the clock and the clock works car only seen daylight 12times since 2004. Rap ur head around that only bad thing is the car hasn't been turn on since Oct of last year so there may be a problem with the motor from sitting so long. That's why a new motor sounds great

What would the lowest mileage perfect Marauder pull at a major auction.....??
And what would that car be worth five years from now......?
VS. cutting the engine out and modding it for a cheap thrill......

You could save yourself a lot of money, time and effort by just getting built short or long block from MMR, then it's minimal stuff has to be done and basically a direct swap. I am building myself a bored out 5.1L motor right now, started out with a Ford Racing Boss50 block (not the same as the Coyote 5.0 block.)
You will need to address the transmission which will need it's own stand alone controller and other stuff to make it work with the Coyote motor.
Who are you going to have do all the work?
BeverleyMara04

Dave2: O God lol its my money ill spend it how I want too & I could careless about a auction, 5 years from now, with low miles, and a stock motor thanks for the input tho still gonna put the 5.0 do you want the old motor?.... For anyone that wants the old motor? first come first serve.... jflave as long as I have 540RWHP - 640RWWHP im good the more I can add the better.... Raven Guy ill be going to a Ford Dealer or Powered By Ford To have the Engine put in

I love the idea of the 5.0 Coyote in a Marauder, I love it even more that you have the funds and the ambition to attempt this project, but please do it to a pristine 30,000 mile car. These cars are only original once, you have a time capsule that many people would kill to have in their garage and could possibly be a near future museum piece.
I understand its your car and your money, but seriously think about what you are going to do.
that being said, if this car was a flood car, wrecked or something to that eqivalent then I'm all for your choice.

2008: 19 years old bought a 04 SB/Light Flint with 21k miles for $23,000 Totaled it in 7 hours of getting it.... 3 months later still 19 years old bought a 04 Black/Black Seats 22k miles for $22,000 Sold That due to not having a job.... 2012 23 years old bought my mom 04 SB/Light Flint 12,000 miles on The Clock!!!! For $18,000 off this site... the Boss Motor I have was suppose to be in the one im selling now but since I came across another one with 125 miles on it and my Fav Color Black its going into that instead... I don't want the Boss Motor Sitting.... all the Marauders I have bought have had really lowwwwwwwww miles on it whats the point on having another one with low miles again? not to include the 4th one... and again I find the 4.6 boring and not a lot of power to me ( Maybe to some of yall might find it a lot of power I don't) theres a reason why the old gt500 was a 5.4 and now its a 5.8 sometimes you just need more power an output

Sounds like you just need to buy a CTS-V instead of buying a car with a small V8 and not putting a supercharger on it. Bigger V8 and supercharged from factory.

Click on "reply" then scroll down to the "additional options" section, click on "manage attachments" prestty straightforward from there.
Alternatively, if you've got a Photobucket account, you can just cut and past pics from there into your posting.

Gotta say.....CUT IT! If you can afford to do it and do it right then go for it! ON another note, if your 125 mile car has ALL of the options, Steve Babcock is looking for an 04 Loaded with ultra low miles, maybe you could make some coin and sell him your 125 mile one and find another one with say 1,000 miles or so on it.
Whatever you want to do, but please keep complete records of all part numbers and post tons of pics! Love to see something new out there!
Good Luck!

Would you consider a trade perhaps? My black 03 300A with a sunroof, jlt and drilled/slotted rotors for your SB? It's a 3 way winning situation there. You get a black (which you have mentioned is your favorite color), I'd still have a Marauder, and the lowest known mileage Marauder gets to stay in mint condition
