Does anyone here have a Metco drive shaft safety loop and have an aftermarket exhaust system with an X pipe? I'm wondering about fitment for a full Stainless Works kit with it. I have a Lakewood DS loop on my Grand Marquis and a Dennis Reinhart X Pipe exhaust on it. On the GM, I had to bend the DS loop to an oval to get enough clearance for the X.
Looking for help from anyone that's been down this path.
Thanks,
John

I have a cheapo Summit or Jegs driveline loop and an x pipe. No clearance probs ever. about a 20 minute install, including washing hands.

You won 't have any clearance issues.

Well, after several tries I finally got this exhaust on the car and not leaking. I am not impressed with the fitment of the pipes. Mine does not fit together centered, and believe me I tried several times. The multiple sections of pipe work well for shipping and being able to assemble w/o a welding machine, but there's a down side. To take it apart, you have to take every section off starting from the back. The clamps crimp the joints, so it doesn't slide in/out easily after first installation. Wow, what a pain in the ass these pipes have been!
I really like the headers and this black thermal coating is very nice. They weren't bad to install either. I did switch to a flexible dipstick tube, which helped.
Sound is pretty good, but a little louder than I'd like. The car lost its sleeper factor. It's one of those trade-offs I knew I was getting into. Performance is a night and day difference. This certainly uncorked several horsepower on my supercharged setup. Bigger blower going on soon too.

Same here and still revisiting.. I already had to remove my safety loop, X pipe had to be heavily manipulated to remain close to center, the rear legs of the X do not go high enough leaving the right side tailpipe resting right on the watts link. Not impressed at all with fitment

"Since 2004" I love the headers also... However Mine fits just like ur guys does. Left side hanging lower then the right and it hits the watts linkage at times.. grr..
