I swear I saw a WHITE Marauder last week on Rt. 56 (Butterfield Rd.) just West of Farnsworth/Kirk Road in Kane County Illinois. It had a blacked out grille and the waterfall emblem on it, NOT the blue oval. I was going west they were going east by the time it click in my mind that it maybe a Marauder it was to late to really check it out. Has anyone else seen it, or am I just crazy? :help:

I don't think you are crazy. It could have been a Grand Marquis or possibly a silver Marauder. Sometimes it is difficult to I D a Marauder on the road if you just get a glimse of it. The only sure way is to read MARAUDER on the rear facsia. (bumper)

Stop right there, you're crazy Tom. What's next, double vision?

Alright, wait...Hold on a sec, K? We're starting to see Marauders pop up as LEO cars, both in marked patrol and covert (staff/admin) trim. If it was a Marauder, my next guess would be that it went to the paint shop, so, it would blend in with the rest of the fleet. I know most small departments don't bother with this, just sticker up any CV/PI and run it. However, some do. I just can't see a prisoner enjoying the leather interior...

Before y'all think I'm nuts, inside LEO circles, there is a national competition for the best dressed police department, both cars and uniforms. A Marauder in marked trim, could be a real show stopper. It's not that much of strech either, we already have a supercharged CV/PI just north of me in Winthrop Harbor. Slick looking police car too. Other than that, could have been a GM with a sport package? I'm out that way often myself, I'll keep an eye open.

Caught that at the Chicago dynotune last year!! Quite a ride and the smile on that LEO's face after he got back from testing it on the tollroad would have made a Marauder owner proud:)

When did you see it Tom? I work just north of there in Batavia and spend a lot of time in that area. I'll try to keep an eye out for it.

That’s what it looked like SergntMac, she just didn't have the decals on her yet. It was in unincorporated Kane County, about 2 miles south of the jail so maybe it is a Kane County Sheriff car? :uzi:

The grille was black, not chrome.

I saw it Wednesday the 10th about 1:30pm :burnout:

I did notice while looking in my outside mirror that it had some kind of red printed letters on the bumper?

I know the Kane Co. Sheriff and a few of his deputies, the next time I see him I'll ask him if it's his.
