So someone hit-and-ran my ride

hey guys. this is my first post on this site. long time follower but never really found the reason to input my uneducated opinion. anyways. some ******* slammed my driver side door pretty good on my street, and there doesn't seem to be anyone around me that seems understands the severity of this. is this me being just another obsessive-compulsive teenager, or is this pretty standard among marauder owners? if i have the slightest ding anywhere or the slightest bit of a noise anywhere on it i swear it will keep me up at night.going for a bit of a rant, but while im at it if anyone knows a good shop around los angeles/north hollywood area i would love any input. would love to put some money into the ride after i fix this up, seeing as how she is still stock and her miles are only getting higher:bigcry: well thanks for the read, and any kind of really, anything would be a huge help. maybe just a ricochet rant back. thanks again

Look on the bright side, it could have been the front or rear bumpers that took the hit.

That really sucks someone hit your car and ran. I hope that person gets their "poo" packed in with a baseball bat. I think most of us are compulsive about our cars here. It's a special car.

Man, be glad your bumpers were not hit. You may have been looking for a new car. Hope you get it fixed soon.

Door Dings, and noises, and SH**heads who hit and run...Yes I'm OC on that. I fix immediately. Normal wear and tear...No, I'm not OC, I just try to keep mine in original condition. A scratch or nick here or there, character scars of a Daily Driver.

Being a teenager as you stated, may I commend you on your vehicle choice. :2thumbs:

You have insurance right? Get a good estimate for it, find a REALLY good body shop who'll do the work for.cheap, and if money is left over, invest it into Mods!! :thumbup::D:beer:

Sorry for your loss.
When I was a teenager, I came out to my pride and joy a 10-year old 1968 cougar XR7 with a bag of groceries. I couple ask if it was my car. I said yes. They said this is the license plate of the car that hit your passenger side. (I may not have noticed that side immediately). I was amazed and got their witness information. I was able to collect on the repairs.
Since then I have been a witness to other hit-and-runs. The people I have helped did not appear happy with the bad news. But I know they were glad I gave them the license plate info and descriptions.

Someone did it to my Black in WallyMart. The car was parked at the far end of the parking area. They went way out of thier way to hit it.

I'm pretty sure if someone ever hit (and ran) my Marauder I'd be on the war path. I have an irish temper, which I've gotten pretty good at suppressing but that would let it loose. It would not be pretty.

Wow that sucks, I'm the same way about my Marauder, my wife says I'm VERY anal about my car, she wont even smoke in it because she knows how bad it pisses me off about the ashes coming back into the car when she uses the window as an ashtray so don't worry and make sure to take care of that baby, don't worry, find a parts car, swap out the door (skip the body filler and body shop bs) and then move on, if you find the bastard that did the damage then take out his knees for me, I'm sure you'll have more for him as well, everything will be fine bro!

Sorry to hear your misfortune. My marauder got side swiped last year in New years day. To this day I am still heated :mad2:
