Coming back from Pittsburg yesterday the car died at highway speeds twice. Was able to restart but the CEL is now lit. Bringing it in today. Will keep you posted.

Weird. Sounds like my wife's throttle body issue with her 2010 Ford Fusion. Dealer replaced TB and everything is fine now.
Have you had a tune up lately? cleaned up your MAF? Fuel injector cleanin? Etc...

Mine cut off on us while on a trip a few years back. Once stopped, it started right back up, but seemed to run rough for awhile and then was fine. The CEL didn't light up. I just assumed it must have been bad gas... It only happened that one time in 10 years of owning the car.

Hey mine did this and it turned out to be my Diablo had came loose. DO you have an aftermarket controller?

It turns out it was a dirty Mass Air Flow sensor. I'm running a K&N filter and have been very VERY careful not to over oil it.
The car didn't throw a code until at least the fourth time. Sheesh...

These cars are getting old. Parts are bound to crap out. Its not the filter's fault.

Get another K&N filter and keep it on the shelf in a pan so the oil will have time to drain off before you install it. Clean the old one and do the same thing.
