3.4 v8. From what I read online it is a Japanese engineered motor only for that series of SHO's

Good buy for under $3,000
That 3.4 DOHC V8 can be modded to run as hard as the 3.0 DOHC V6.
But, I was never a big fan of the 'jelly bean' Taurus styling....especially that hideous skateboard bolted to the trunklid....:puke:

The *real* SHO's (IMO) were the ones with the 220HP Yamaha v6 and a 5-speed. I had a 1991 ((sort of a)Raspberry red with black interior). They revved real high and quick. Just a blast to drive. Being FWD, even with 5 people in the car, It would slam them into the back of their seats with the tires spinning and break 'em loose hitting 2nd gear too. I wish my Marauder was like that off the line. Too bad the rest of the car was a Taurus.

I also had a 1991 SHO, all white exterior including badges and wheels, black interior. Lots of fun to drive! Why did I sell?

This guy talks about owning the V6 SHO, among other things. His results are hilariously awesome too.

I had a 90, 92 and finally a 94.
Anything after a 95 was not a real SHO ...
