Vegas Road trip.

I will be on vacation in a few weeks. I am heading west to Vegas on a fun road trip. Was wondering if any westerners will be in town. And yes my car is what I am driving... :)

Just finishing a visit with our son in Henderson, Nevada. If you work in Las Vegas, you really want to live in Henderson.

I keep my 03 MM here as my vacation car. Daily driver in Fresno is a 2013 Charger SRT8.

Took my MM all around Las Vegas and through Lake Mead State Park and then up to Hoover Dam and into Arizona and back.

The MM with about 36,000 miles worked perfectly. It was 100 degrees outside and it ran cool all day, even up and down the mountains. :bows:

If you want to know the good places to stay and best food, I will be happy to share my local knowledge of Las Vegas and Henderson. :beer:

Hope you can get a few Marauders together and take some nice pictures. There are some cool spots within a short drive... Hoover Dam, Red Rock, Lake Mead, or even the strip.

Good for you! The Marauder is the only car we consider for family trips.. Perhaps that's why the body and frame of the MM has 94,000 and the minivan (even a being a touring edition! LOL) only has 37,000 and only two years newer! Have a great time. Jealous over here.

Premium 91 octane gasoline in Las Vegas is about 70 cents a gallon cheaper than it is in California. :banana:

I have no idea why, but it is consistently so. :beer:

Headed back to Phoenix, we are leaving Vegas in about an hour. We always stay at the Trump, it's a great hotel.
We tool the Corvette and on the way here I averaged 29.6 mpg, that's a new record for us.
We take the 4 hour ride to Vegas about every other month.

Got back from my Vegas trip about a month or two ago. Ate a lot at the Southpoint Steak n Shake. Saw the Bonnie and Clyde death car. Also did some small things like saw the Sirens show and did the CSI experience. Always hit up Virginia City or Calico ghost town on the drive out or back from Vegas.

If you have a large food budget, go to Gordon Ramsey's Steak House inside of the Paris Hotel for dinner. Superb beef dishes and everything else. :bows:

Get there early before the crowd shows up. Then have lunch at Vamps, a biker bar, where everyone is welcome. :beer:

Well sad to say 34 hrs later I am home , going to miss that town wish I could have hooked up with some Marauder guys out there oh well. I have just proven that my car can go places far and near. I do not know what some places put in the fuel but 3 or 4 times I got 400 miles to a tank just as the light came on, Dam good if you ask me. Time to nap lol...:sleepy:
