Anyone running the 2006.5 and up PI/P71 suspention?

I am thinking about getting a kit that has front springs and shocks and rear shocks.

My Marauder feels a little soft on some highway bumps, I know I need new shocks, and thought might as well do the springs too at almost 70,000 miles.

At work I drive 2007+ PI's and they dont seem to stiff, and ride rather well I feel.

As far as I know the 2009-11 front suspention should swap over to a 2003-4 Marauder. I am guessing the PI rear shocks might help too.

Would like to kmnow if anyone has done this and if you know the spring rates of the MM vs 2009+ CVPI.

I tried a search and found very little info.

Thanks.

Under normal driving conditions, 70K on your springs shouldn't be an issue.

If your shocks are worn, consider replacing with Monroe Severe Service, I've got them and I'm pleased with their performance.

Part of the thing is I can get new shocks with the springs mounted, so I might be able to do the work myself vs taking the factory to a shop.

At work I drive a 2009 CVPI and the front suspention can be harsh on some rutts, but it does well at high speeds and in turns/lane changes.

I just wondered if anyone has done this or knows how the rear air bags might work with stiffer/higher rated shocks.

My 04 Marauder felt great when new, and I had a 2003 CVPI. Now it feels softer vs the 07+ CVPI's that seem to ride better/stiffer/more control.

It will ride higher/taller than original. Marauder was lower sitting than a cvpi ever will

I did not think there was any improvement to the Panther platform after 2003. In fact, they cheapened the lower control arms to steel vs aluminum.

ICBW, but they are all the same 2003+ except for spring rate and shock valving. Which is a legitimate discussion.

The steel lowers are a debate, as its for Police/Fleet service. Same as saying steel rims are cheap vs aluminum, but when you hit a curb, the steel bends vs the aluminum breaking.

The 06.5/07 and up CVPI's are running about 475 lbs front spring rate, and I think the newer CVPI's sit lower in the front.

Unsprung weight is never good. Don't hit curbs.

Why not just get a set of MOOGs from RockAuto for a MM they are under $100 ducketts!
