Entered another car show locally...Got a top 25 trophy...only about 35 cars there this time though...probably why I won mine......but I'll take it
Got a nice pic of my daughter, with her face painted of coarse and squinting from the sun, holding the trophy and the shirt I won:

Thnx all...Yeah, I was happy to get it. And yes, ABSOLUTELY, the best part of all of it was that I could enjoy it with my little girl...She is my world and everything else is very distant second. She loves the track too, so she will be going with me each and every time i go, when I am able to go that is...She is truly a "Daddy's Girl"....Love it!!

Man, I REALLY want to make it to Carlisle this year, but it's not looking good at the moment. Between $$$$ and being hard to get off work because it's the busy season, it's a tough battle..lol. I am hoping for a last minute dose of good luck, but it doesn't look like I will make it. Plus, I wouldn't have a chance of winning one there with all the nice rides that will be there. Still love to go and have fun though...

Congrats.
I missed out on a "top 30" trophy yesterday (for my 64 Galaxie) at a show even though the the car next to me (a nice 66 Fairlane 390 hardtop) got one while mine was a much larger attention getter. (It's hard not to notice a bright turquoise convertible with a black bucket seat interior.)
One lady told me that she couldn't get a good pic of my car because there were too many people standing around it.
But, the number of admirers and a comment like hers are the real reasons guys like me keep and show old cars.

A 1964 Galaxie, in my humble opinion, is one of THE MOST beautiful cars EVER built. No matter which form (hardtop/vert). I LOVE THEM and wish I had the $$$$ to have one. My brother owned one when I was 13 and I learned how to drive in that car. They are awesome. I envy you...Yeah, the admirers, the comments, and even some of the head shakers are the main reason I enter mine. Even if someone doesn't like it, it is still getting attention...lol Plus, I like the VIP parking and talking with everyone else who entered about mods, and cars in general.

I only paid $750 for my 64 convert.
(But, that was in 1969.)

I found a hardtop 64 right near me, that comes with another 64 parts car. I can get them both for $1000. The problem in, I don't have the $1000 right now. I would love to have them thoguh
