Ok, if someone can help with this it would be appreciated. Was pulling out of the garage and I went to push the button in the car to close the door, it seems I pushed the button up into the housing. Anyone else ever have this happen? Is it fixable? Anyone know how to remove this to see if it can be fixed? I didn't want to just start prying at anything to get it opened up. :help:

I've never seen that happen. Only need to press it lightly.

I'll check a spare console to see how to fix it.

when I got my marauder one of the buttons was broke I used some 2 piece plastic epoxy took the whole thing apart used some thin tag board spacers between the button and the contact under the button let it sit for a few days been fine ever since, just dont glob a lot of the epoxy on though as its a pain to clean off if you get it everywhere just enough where the parts broke dont use super glue as it dries to hard and will just crack again.

This is great but its not the same as what I have. Mine is shorter and doesn't have the storage compartment part. But its better than nothing. I will take a look and see if I can see any screws but I dont think I did when I looked.

I have the short one as well mine just pulled off, it was hard to do and I thought I would break it but I didnt. Just some really good clips holding it up. as you can see from the included pictures. remove the 4 torx screws size 10 by the way and carefully lift the assy out and flip it over what youll see looks like the 3rd picture. You can also see what the fix looks like when I got done I did sand it down a bit to get it the assy back in so it would sit flush. cant see any thing from the outside still looks stock. sorry not the best pictures but hope it helps you some

Cool, Thanks very much for your time, pics, and explanation. Do you just stick a screw driver by where the clips are and pry down? And you said you used a 2 part plastic epoxy no special brand just made for plastic?

Don't use a screw driver you might ruin the headliner. Work your fingers under the sides and pull down....... very hard.

Short console - remove the screw in the front by the windshield.

Long console - remove the screw in the front by the windshield and the two in the rear sun glass compartment.
