Well I will give a quick update on the Monster Marauder buildup, we are installing a new belt tentioner I have come up with and a new Pulley the belt was slipping at 12 PSI at 510 RWHP so while the car is in the garage I had my crew install Mac and Zacks UCA and LCA kit, this kit is the exact dimentions of the OEM arms you can actualy take these arms and lay them on top of the OEM arms and they fall in place of the stock OEM bushings, we pressed out the OEM bushings pressed them in the new arms and intsalled them in less than 2 hours, its a piece of cake, these are far superior to the stock arms I would have buckled them first thing at the track, I will post track times as soon as the Gator Nationals are over with.

Hooray, hooray, new toys on my doorstep when I got home from work! I have to teach Saturday so I don't think I'll be able to MacZack my rearend this weekend, but surely by next weekend. I'm going to try the install myself so, to quote another member of this board, as a "ham-handed goober" I'll be able to let the rest of us know how easy the install is for the mechanically challenged among us. Thanks, Zack, for prompt attention to my order.

Okay! Now, since I have over 50K on my car, I can't see putting in the new arms without new bushings. Does anyone have part numbers for these bushings? FordNut? All you parts guys out there, any info? Ray, AKA The Dealer, says there are only sold with the control arms, but I found one of the bushings at FordParts.com, but not the other. No part number was given!

Thoughts on this!

if you look in the original cntrol arm thread in the Anouncements/News forum, the part #'s were listed somewhere in there. It might be in page# 2,3, or 4. It was kinda early on in the thread, so you need not bother looking in pages 5, and up.

I would be interested to know of anyone on this site who has ever replaced a control arm bushing on any make of car with any mileage. (Excluding restorations)
You do not need to replace the bushings, but feel free to spend your money.

Zack is right, you are wasting money. Those bushings will likely outlast your ownwership of the car.

The only rear contol arm bushings I've ever had problems with were the ones on a MkVII which I got broadsided in. Hit hard enough to bend the axle and rear end housing.
