New member from Orlando!

Hey all! I've been lurking for a bit but I finally bought a Marauder today, 2004 Silver Burch from BeverleyMara. I daily drove a 1995 Chevrolet Impala SS and it finally got to the point were parts were breaking left and right so I decided to finally purchase a car from a newer decade. I absolutely love the car but I'm still getting used to all the buttons and flashing lights

Already had my first compliment! An old man who was getting his tire changed at Firestone was looking into the garage bay and noticed my car. He asked the clerk if that was really a Mercury Marauder because he thought they stopped making them in the 70s. I told him it was the real deal, they brought it back for 2 years and he showered me with compliments!

Dead Beats is a little rough??? I have had my Marauder for over 6 years and have been driving it daily in and around Orlando the entire time, have tried time and again to see if there were any Marauder meets and NOTHING for years?? Not because I am a dead beat.. Sorry. Im in Ocoee, about 20 min from Clermont, I am ready to have a Central Florida Meet up as soon as the next guy. Set it up, once a month or every other weekend and I am there.

I suggest you do a search in the sunshine state mm forum over the past 6 or 7 years and you will see many request from either me or BC4E trying to get the Orlando/ Central FL boys together. BC4E and I live in the same subdivision and live 2 rock throws away. When there is a request from him, it's from me as well and vice versa. We have hung out and gone to many, many events/car shows over the last 6 or 7 years.

Would LOVE to get the Cen FL group together soon. We show our cars at the down town Winter Garden show often. BTW, it's great to see your passion ;).

I have, joined the site and everything. Unfortunately an 8 hour round trip drive to go to a weekly meet is a little extreme. I noticed there was suppose to be a BBQ over towards Tampa or somewhere a few months ago and that fell apart. However, like I mentioned, nothing local...... Its always 2-4 hours away, which is surprising given the number in the central FL area.... Again, I am more than happy to meet with fellow Marauder owners whenever I am invited

I was there the week before Memorial day. I'll probably head down there next month now that I have a car with a functioning gas gauge and the seat doesn't lean to one side.

HAHA! Nice nice lol... Well Id love to get a meet of some kind set up in the area that would be cool.. We have about 3-4 small shows of various kinds here in Daytona Beach and surrounding areas but it would be really cool to either crash one of those with a group of panthers or maybe even form our own. The NSB canal st show is the 2nd sat ea month and the local mustang club shows up. Its all free and laid back atmosphere too.. Hope you guys shoot me a msg next time you decide to roll down here.. :)

Congrats on your marauder! I'm also owner of a black 300a living in Orlando. My buddy and I are planing to set a meet for central florida on the first Wednesday of the month. what better place than old town at 9pm.
