The alternator is putting out charging voltage. The battery checked out fine and the alternator is new. Were actually on the way to napa to put the alternator on the tester and see..I know i have received new parts in the past that were bad out the box believe it or not. Anything im missing or should check?

The alternator can put out volts, but no amps, I have seen it before on 2 panther chassis cars.

Bad battery cable?

Check all the cables... grounds included.

Clean & tight.

You just say "charging issue"...can you be a little more specific? You should have approx 14.1 to 14.4 V while the engine is running if the battery and alternator are good...

Clean & tight.

I had shorts and lites dimming and it was a ground issue.

End up just being a bad alternator as we thought...all is well
