Lets see...do you increase torque or decrease torque if you use an extension with your socket. I am sure that each connection cbanges the torque. My 4 inch 5/8 socket was too short so I just used my best judgement in tightening making sure not to over tighten. Not the best practice but I am good with it this time.
How deep is the the plug well? I for got to measure

Changing the length of an extension does not change the torque value. Changing the length of the wrench handle will.

You should be using a torque wrench.

use a torque wrench (11 ft/lbs)
Anti seize is a must and a cold engine also, when it comes to this aluminum heads.
