Can someone post a picture or let me know exactly what I am looking for at my local FLAPS store. I want to put a coat of clear coat on my calipers when I install next week, but not sure what brand or what product I am looking for.

If i can't find it in the store, I'll order some online. thanks

Very nice, thanks for the link. Are you picking up 2 cans to be safe or do you think 1 can is enough?

I always like to have extra so I will be picking up two cans. Are you going to prime yours?

I am actually just going to re-use the painted calipers from my old Marauder but before I put them on, I wanted to apply some clear coat. I didn't add any when I painted them last year.

Would be a good time to upgrade to some TCE ss brake lines if you don't have them on already.

Yep I have a kit from Todd. they've been sitting on my shelf since last year. Never got a chance to install them on my old ride so I will be tackling the brakes next week. I'm excited. :banana2:

Also you mentioned in another thread you used Prestone Synthetic DOT 4 when you did your brake lines. Did you have to flush your entire brake system before using Dot4 ?

Yes I flushed my brake system before switching over. You can use Prestone DOT 3 and not do a massive flush but give it a good one to clean all the old stuff. When changing DOT type it's a good to have the abs pump cycled which needs a dealer type diagnostic scan tool to do it.

I don't plan on changing the DOT type so I will stick with DOT3. I'll get a couple quarts and flush the lines though.
