Any suggestions on where to buy a set of Marauder floor mats? I don't mind if they do not have the Marauder stitched on them i just want a set that actually fits my car not just a cheap set from Oreillys.

Crown Vic or Grand Marquis are the same mats without the embroidered name.

Contact RedLine tuning. They may not produce mats anymore with the MARAUDER logo, but they still continue to make high-quality mats that fit perfectly.

I know this because Brad and I talked to the owner at Carlisle a couple weeks ago and we were trying to figure out a way to make more. The problem Redline was running into is Ford requires $650,000 royalty fee (or something exorbitant) to produce the logo. I think the same reason our bumpers will never be made unless Ford releases the rights to the Marauder Logo.

just order their standard sets and have your own embroidery person do the lettering :dunno:

Yeah that's what Brad suggested. Thing is (if you have a pair of redline mats currently) look at the bottom. The stitches do not go all the way through. Red line uses a layered process with their mats and logos. So if you use an embroidery shop it may not look or feel the same.

Not trying to burst your bubble here but just relaying the conversation we had at Carlisle. Plus you have to be careful what you say here on the forums. If word gets back to Ford, there will be consequences.

Really? Then why doesn't a Ford spokes person sign on here and tell us what it's all about? And explain why we can't buy certain specific parts for our cars, because they want to hold the rights to a certain lettering font.

And what exactly are the consequences? They should feel lucky that they have a group of enthusiasts that love and care for these cars and the product name, instead of being grateful, we get no parts and are threatened with litigation................ great, should have bought another SS Impala, would have been cheaper to make go fast and you can buy what ever you want for it. Good going Ford............:mad2:

I don't think it was that high, but it was a absurd number for a small company. They said they'd have to sell something like 4,000 sets to make it worth it. They want to make them, but Ford has made it impossible.

Who would buy them with just a gods head in them. Or does ford own that too?

I have been thinking about this recently... Is there a way to appeal to Ford? Asking them to release the rights to the Marauder logo or produce more parts? OR at least make the price for the rights reasonable? Is there a lawyer on this Forum? Marty!

I'd be willing to buy a set of bumper covers, if Ford would produce them.

That would be nice. I'm guessing they own that too.

They could approve release rights for a specific limited (numbered) run of anything/everything. That way they could still own it, for future releases.
