remove 'CHANGE OIL' note on 2012 Fusion

any smart folks here know how to turn off the CHANGE OIL SOON that is hanging around?? I did change the oil way before this note comes on. I tried key on, depress gas pedddle 3 times, start.....did not work.

My son’s car, I certainly still have my 2003 Blue MM.

Put the key into the ignition and turn to the ON/RUN position (no need to turn the car on). On the steering wheel there should be a button that says Setup, press that and then press Info until you get to the Oil Life % gauge, once it is on that screen press and hold Reset until it resets back to 100%. Turn ignition back off and then turn back on to verify the message is gone. All the buttons you need to press should be on the left side of the steering wheel and also the direction will be in the manual as well.
