Can a marauder be lowered on a 255/45- 295/45 tire combo without clearance issues??
If anyone have pics please post.

I wanted to lower mine as I run 255/45 up front but even 200k mile stock coils I get some rubbage on the passenger side when the wheel is full lock to the left and on an incline.

I can deal with that I do next to none wheel locking turns.
What's on the rear?
Was a coil cut?

You almost have the same tire size combo set up as me, but I have stock 235/50 BFGs in the front. I have a pair of Eibach lowering springs I want to put on my car, so I, too, would be interested in clearance issues. I wouldn't think you would have clearance issues because you can adjust the ride height in the rear.

I know about that. I just didn't want to have chewed up fenders lowering on a bit wider tire front and back.

265/50-18, no coil is cut because I wanted to lower mine but due to the rubbing I get very rarely I haven't bothered with it. It's not hitting the fenders, it's hitting the inner plastic wheel well piece, no actual metal contact.

Oh ok that might be my route then. Did you have the camber bolts switched out to keep from inter tire ware?

I have 255/45 -18 on all four wheels.
front coil cut 1 1/8 coil and rear lowered until frame rails sit level to the ground.
The passenger front fender liner will have to be removed to route a bunle of wires to the top of the liner and the box that shielded the bundle at the3 top of the arch will have to be trimmed away to clear the tire when turned/spring travel compressed.
This has been working fine for me since '08 and over 60k miles.
The offset camber bolt modification is a big plus & not too hard to do. Pictures in my gallery from around '08/'09 after it was first done.

The only thing I have had done was the Carfixer alignment done to spec which helped a whole bunch.

Mine is lowered and I had to do the camber mod. I did the mod myself but I have a two post lift to do it on. The hardest part besides grinding is raising the tire to drop the arm down away from the hole.

I have that done now and tires are even. I know if I lower I would have to re align. Do the inner front tires ware on yours? Or it's an even spread

That sounds too low lol. I don't want to slam the car. Just lower it. The space between the top of the tire and the bottom of the fender is a bit much

I don't hit or scrape anything (not since I modified the fender liner) and it handles very nice now!
It had to be lowered after I installed the 255/45-18's - the fender gap was too much. It looked like a 4X4! LOL

Nice detail on the areas of concern up front, thanks. I have a 2004, I think the ABS is different. When I slightly changed the F/R ratio (255/55-18 rear, stock front) it seemed the ABS would kick in unnecessarily soon. This caused me to believe I could not change the F/R ratio. But you have done so. How does your ABS work?

I can honestly say I have never had any kind of issue w/ABS running the same size tire f/r.
I have had the ABS activate on numerous times w/no problem or difference ever.

I am not sure we have the same ABS.

Possible. Mine's an '03 300A w/out traction control. I didn't think the ABS was linked to the T/C but who knows?
