My '04 just turned 91K miles. For about the last week, I've noticed a slight ignition miss at all speeds, worse under load. No CEL or codes being reported.

Any suggestions on troubleshooting would be appreciated, thanks.

Sounds like it might be one or more of the coils.

133K miles and I had the same problem - new set of Motorcraft coils from Tommy @ Sparta Performance and the car runs like new!!
Mine didn't throw any codes either!

Might also want to upgrade to new solid coil connectors.

Mary's car has had two instances of misfire-related troubles and in neither did she get a CEL. I don't know how Ford's misfire detection strategy is supposed to work, but it must be wicked insensitive.

We ll know how it's supposed to work, whether it does or not is the question. :D

Friday July 5th, I threw out a plug and tore up the coil pack in #6. I got a Lightning and about 10 years ago I knew it was a problem with them and a few guys on my forum at that time (TALON) had it happen to them. Has it been a problem with anyone's MM? I did a search on the question and this was the closest I found concerning the topic. Don't want to repeat same subject and very sorry if I am. I forgot to get the plug and coil from my shop I deal with to post pics.

Yes, there have been more than one plug blow-out(s) on Marauders.
Threaded inserts have fixed most of them.
Hope you didn't have any other issues and can get it repaired and running good as new!

Most cases of flying spark plugs are caused by the threads being damaged due to improper installation, usually by someone with a "calibrated arm" who over-tightened it, or by trying to remove old plugs without allowing the engine to cool down.

This engine has aluminium heads and it ain't your grandfather's Oldsmopile.
