Quit using your phone as a keyboard and use a period and a sentence..Your first post is like 45 continous words.

I won't disagree that we cracked on him pretty hard, but go back and read his post again.

Does he want to trade his stock wheels for 20" tires?

Does he want to trade his stock wheels for 20" rims?

Is he unconcerned about the condition of either the (a) desired tires or (b) desired rims because his stuff isn't in real good shape?

Does he want to trade his OEM 18" wheels for 20" tires because the front tires on his car are worn and need to be replaced?

Sorry, I did well in school in every class but clairvoyance...:dunno:

To be honest, I have to agree with Rex here. I had to go back and re-read the original post several times because I was confused with what he wanted. I was getting excited because I thought he wanted OEM wheels traded for black rims and I was going to PM him but I think he wants black wheels traded for his stock rims.

thats a no go for me. But I did have to re-read his post.

..... Understood it as soon as i read it. Dallas area and wants to trade his stock wheels for black twenties.... Doesnt matter the condition of the tires on the rims because his rims need tires also, and i suppose "curb" means curb rash.

you all be quick to derail a thread.

This is not the first time a post has been hijacked to correct the writer--there ARE people in this country who have not had the education most of us were given. I realize his response was rather rough, but I think the lambasting he was taking was uncalled for. I was born and raised in Mississippi, went to Univ of Louisville and lived in New York for 21 years---the problem of education in the English language is not regional---do you realize that , of all the countries in the world, large and small, the United States is the ONLY ONE that DOES NOT have an officially designated National Language. A battle has been going on in Congress for over 30 years to have English declared our national language, and, to this day, it has not been accomplished ?????????? We asked for another Tower of Babal and we have it--there are now over 14 languages being spoken in our schools. By the way, there are many school districts that no longer teach cursive writing--they have replaced it with computer courses using computer language. All I am asking for is a little tolerance toward those who are lucky enough to own a Marauder but not lucky enough to have the education we were priviledged to have. By the way, many of the best books written in recent years have been written without punctuation, paragraphing and capitalization---this was supplied by a computer program.
This web site was established so Marauder owners could discuss our cars---not to teach the English language. So, again I ask you to be tolerant and give every Marauder owner a fighting chance to get his message across. I do not want to offend anyone, but I do take exception to bullying. Have a safe and happy July 4th . Maury

This is what gives this site the reputation it has! , most guys i know with a MM are not members of this site, and say they would never join because of this type of behavior, which says a lot about those acting like complete Azzes!

When you have more foolish behavior and flaming than tech talk you no longer have a car forum you have a chat room!

I'm the guilty party that started this, and accordingly, I'll shoulder the blame.

That said, the OP's subsequent responses really escalated things beyond my initial jab. FWIW, sailsmen nailed it.

Done here.

Wow, sad. We are the grammar police of the WWW?
My father in law who just passed at the age of 81 never finished the 6th grade.
He couldn't spell, I taught him how to write a check after his wife passed away, he couldn't write numbers so for a check for $120 he would print in a very childlike scribble one two zero.
The man was a tank mechanic in the Korean conflict.
He was a Volvo Penta, Mercruiser, OMC master mechanic and one of the finest men I have ever known.
He could build anything out of nothing, had several inventions.
A genius that couldn't spell.

If he were to make a post here you guys would do the same thing to him you did to the OP.

Give the poor guy a break, at least he has the good taste to own one of our cars!

There is nothing to indicate this has anything to do with education or a command of the English language. When he wanted to he clearly showed he has both. Tolerance is a two way street.
It has everything to do with attitude!

While I can agree with this, I shouldn't have to read and re-read a post multipul times to figure out what the poster is trying to say.

As far as many languages, all one needs is to look around this board and see how people type, that would generally be the most accepted method. Because someone wants to type a paragraph in 1 sentence, with little or no punctuation or capitalization doesn't mean that everyone is going to accept it.

Basically, if you want treated as an adult, act like one, stop trying to go against the "flow", just for a reaction.

Well I will say this, we can and should do better in trying to help someone out.

For example a posted response that says something like

" I'm afraid your post is confusing and as you are selling something, it may help your efforts to proof read it before posting to make sure exactly what you are conveying is what you are intending"

When someone tries to trade or sell on this site, too many times it gets side railed.
While I agree the OP definitely showed the ability to write and convey a complete thought, nowhere is it a prerequisite to do so. With the confusing original post, it may be difficult to actually attract a trade, he could use advice and not a language lesson.

Furthermore, anyone that critiqued the OP that did so with no intention of clarifying his desire in pursuant to your own desires to work something out, Shame on you.

Boost gets you laid
