When using the keyless entry to lock the car, the light under the hood comes on... WT

the underhood light socket uses a built in switch that activates when the angle of the switch goes up (when the hood goes up). the LCM should turn off the underhood light if it stays on too long. if the switch in the underhood light is bad, and is activated when the hood is shut, then when you use keyless to lock or unlock, the LCM wakes up to turn on other lights, and gives power back to the underhood light.

you could check by opening the hood to see the light come on, then shutting the hood to see if the light stays on until the LCM shuts it down several minutes later. if the light does not stay on when the hood is shut, but does come on with keyless, then you car is possessed.

You have Gremlins, 1) Do not feed them after midnight and 2) this is the important one; never ever get them wet.

Yup, your light isn't shutting itself off when the hood closes, so the battery saver feature is cutting power to it until you wake it back up with the remote.
