You need a P71 Tailshaft housing as it's longer, not sure about your 1994 as that's very old. 1998-2002 would work with extended tailshaft housing, but yours is older (non-whale) Check here: http://www.crownvic.net

Honestly, Join Crownvic.net..There are plenty of members there that have installed the aluminum driveshaft and will have all the necessary info. The aluminum driveshaft is not only used for Marauders.. All the police cars (P71 model) use them..yes, it needs the extended tail shaft housing.

Added, You have a 1994..Not sure if that is a AOD trans or the 4r70..that might make a difference.. You have what is considered and "aero" platform..1998 and later is the "whale" platform..some things are the same, some things are not..They changed again in 2003 with suspension /steering differences
Check with the Crownvic.net people. Alot of modifications going on over there
It looks like you have aod trans (automatic overdrive) i'm not sure if a 2003/04 driveshaft will work

The '94 Marquis came with an AODE transmission. The 4R7xW transmission uses a larger O.D yoke than the AODE, but the spline count and I.D is the same. Swap the tail-housing for a newer ('96-up) 4R70W transmission and you should be good to go.
