As some here may know I am moving from the DPRNYS. I was at my local FLM to say goodbye this morning. Of course they had a car to try and sell me. It is a 1989 Thunderbird Super Coupe, black, 64K on the clock, all OEM, never seen snow. Its a mom&pop dealership so I was talking to the owner. He is looking to get $12-15K out of it. I have no idea what its worth and right now am up to my ass in alligators trying pack up so I'm just posting it here if anyone is interested. These folks have always been good to me.

Nilles Ford, Hamilton, NY 315-824-2440, ask for Vern.

I have no stake in this and would buy the car myself if I were not moving from the snowbelt of upstate NY to Myrtle Beach, SC next tuesday.

Has it had the head gaskets replaced yet?
When I was in TCCoA there were only 2 kinds of Supercharged T Birds, the ones where the head gaskets were recently replaced or the ones going to need them done soon.
And from all the posts I saw I gather it's a royal freaking PITA.

Rex, google Nilles Ford in Hamilton, NY and they probably have a pic on their website. I was really tempted, but then something would have to go. As much as she would love it, no way am I giving a car like that to wife for her DD in Myrtle Beach.

As for whats been done to it, ??? I really do not know. I was told that it had not been driven in 4 years prior to them aquiring it. It had new tires on it, so I am assuming they went through it. They are pretty meticulous. For a small dealer they seem to come up with a lot of really hot cars. They had a NIB Mustang King Snake on the lot last year. They were the only folks I trusted to work on my DTR. They also sold quite a few MMs, new and used. I almost bought a black 04 from them, but it didn't have the equipment I wanted at the time.

I just looked and its not on their inventory online. I am sure if someone is interested they could email photos.
