Hijacked!
Spark plugs, which MotorCraft ones to buy?
SP432 or SP417???

Stock replacement is SP432. Cooler for Trilogy cars is SP505. Never heard of an SP417, but the way Ford's numbering scheme works, that would be a hotter plug than stock.

Are you sure it's a COP problem? Try cleaning the MAF, that may resolve.

Also make sure they have a warrant before letting them under the hood.

Worst joke ever...

FYI..........

I'd never run Champion plugs in a Ford motor.
All the plugs that have a gimmick are just that ... a gimmick aka: snake oil...
Examples: Pulstar. Halo, DTS-i Triple Spark, E3, fire injector spark plugs,

Oh... before you ask, going to a colder plug will not change anything unless you have a tune to take advantage of the colder heat range.

Whats cheaper, spending $180 then another $240 a year later, or spending $240 and lasting 10 years.

Your call.

So if I'm going to run a tune I should go with the SP505 vs SP432?

If your tune or tuner compensates for it... yes.

your are absolutely right, just sucks because it feels like you are throwing money at the car to fix a problem that exist but cannot be pinpointed.....ie if its not the ignition coil set, then spend more money on another part that "might" fix it. iac, egr...what else could it be :bigcry: lol.

so basically these http://www.buyfordracing.com/products/2007%252d2010-MUSTANG-SVT-4V-IGNITION-COIL-SET.html

I just purchased 8 coils from ford racing for $280 dollars for all 8. Then are motorcraft coils just white box and not blue box. I was told warranty is shorter but same oem coil.

Motorcraft, Accel, or MSD are quality coils. Cannot go wrong with any of the three.
