It is definitely a sweet deal! I might have to pick one up for that price. I think this is one of the ones that people have said they have trouble getting to straighten out since it comes rolled.

I paid like $200.00 for mine from Ford! Going to buy another one so I can mold them together to fit the bumper right. The stock OEM material is so much better....

All you have to do is let the spoiler sit in the sun and it will return to the original shape.
Just ordered one...... can't beat $46.99 shipped!

I have one on mine paid full price around 9 months or so ago, yes it came rolled and no it did not straighten completely out even after being in sun but it still looks good on there. for that price everyone that don't have one should get it, really bring more life into front of car.

What does the chin spoiler mount to?
Do you have to drill holes in it?

You could use double sided tape, not sure if id want to though.

I think they're a little more flimsy, which can be a good thing, incase you pull onto a curb, it would just flex, not crack.

They mount to bottom of front fascia just like Mach 1's and yes you drill holes to use screws or the push in type hardware to hold them. Best way is held on by screws because at high speeds some of the push in type hardware will pull out. Mine did , 5 or so pulled out lucky me they were in the middle and the ones closer to the edges kept it mounted to the car just sagging in the middle. Took all the push ins out and used screws I had left over from the one I put on my Mustang.

Would love them on my cars but the pot holes in New Orleans will not allow them. Swampy roads.

I used 1/4" plastic push rivets to mount mine and Marauderman's. No problems at high speeds.
I'd rather sacrifice the spoiler and the rivets then have an irreplaceable front bumper cover damaged by screws pulling out.

Already got this thing, they must have shipped it from the house across the street :)
It looks pretty good. It came in a box about 2' x 2', so it isn't rolled up really small or tight - it doesn't look like it would be difficult to warm it up and install it.
I'm not planning to use it right away, so I'm wondering if I should store it out of the box ? It's certainly more convenient to leave it in the box.

I only peeked in the box. Bent as expected but I didn't see any plastic rivets. I'll check again tomorrow.

I believe you'll have to source your own rivets.

Anybody have pictures of how exactly you mounted it on the bumper cover? Meaning how far forward etc. I'm finally installing mine today

Everyone's is going to fit every so slightly different.
When I did mine I mounted the ends lined up with the wheel well area and then worked my way to the center. I had picked up an Ford OEM one for like $105 or $110 from another member who got a hook-up from a local dealer.
I did drill 7 holes in the chin spoiler and 5 in the bumper.
2 at the ends of the spoiler/bumper cover - used plastic bumper push pins
2 in the spoiler where the spoiler crosses over the bumper cover bottom bolts to the splash shields - used the bumper cover bottom bolts to secure
5 evenly spaced out along the front of the spoiler/bumper cover - used plastic bumper push pins

Mine has a wave in it now because of the several times I have run up on a parking space wheel guard and the curb. I so need to put my rear spoiler on to complete the look with the cowl hood and all.

Mark the center of the bumper with some blue painters tape, mark the center of the spoiler with blue painters tape, make the ends even with the front of the wheel well openings, then match up the center marks. Drill, fasten and enjoy!

The old adage of measure twice and cut once applies to installing the chin spoiler. Once you put a hole in the bumper there is no turning back.

I measured 3 times before even picking up the drill. Great success!
I might lay a bead of black rtv to close the small gaps in places. I also want to stencil my production sequence number on it. Right now I used the stainless steel fastening hardware and am just being super careful.
