Greetings y'all! I'm a new member and love the site. Just picked up my Marauder last week. Just turned 200 miles. Even though I'm in "sunny" SoCal(sorry guys--it's not my fault) I just haven't had the time to go cruisin' yet.
A couple of quick questions. I haven't seen any mention of lowering the rear. I thought mine sat a little high so I climbed underneath it(carefully) and adjusted the height sensor bracket(attached to the left watts link) outboard a little and down it came. Lowered it about an inch and I think it looks a little better.
Also my car has the subwoofer buzz/rattle but it sounds more like the package tray insulation is loose more than something blocking the speaker.
And what about the 'rod rattle' sound at cold startup? I had a 130,000 mile LTD that did that but thought it was normal cause of the mileage. But this is NEW and shouldn't make that noise.
By the way I work at the Ford dealer(in parts-any questions?) and I know all about whiny customers who imagine things.
I like the ideas about blacking out emblems and I've even thought about blacking out the wheels too.

Greetings and salutations

Jefferson

The subwoofer buzz/rattle is a known issue. Do a search on "subwoofer" and you'll find the thread with the fix in it...

The rattle from the engine is known as well. Some cars have it, some don't... Haven't heard anything official on the subject.

Thanks,Logan. Do you have any connection with the dealer? If not I should be able to periodically check Bulletins for Marauder info

The "rear" is " a little high" cause the wheels are a little bigger in the rear---you did know/notice that - right? Is that what you were referring too?

No, I think he's reffering to the air springs jacking up the car. This was discussed somewhere on here before too. I think a search for "lowering" would bring it up...

Welcome jefferson! You now own one of the best of the best. Did you get one with TC or not?

Well yeah, but if you look at pre-production photos the clearance between the body and the rear tires isn't much....my car was like that. I understand the rake with the different tires but now the car sits perfectly level front to rear...it just looks better to me

Thanks!

Sure you haven't messed up the compensation the air-suspension provides --My '98 Vic has the air and often after use with loads , it would settle "up" in the back before lowering itself --anyway--the air compensates for the loads to give the "original look" before the load is introduced...so as in the MM case, a higher look....
