"There is absolutely no evidence of prior damage or repairs to this vehicle. The body of this vehicle is in great condition - there is no collision damage. Door dings are usually present on used vehicles, but not on this one. "

Ok, so what do you notice about the dot-matrix trim?

I had looked at a car at Pugmire last year but they were inflexible on their price. This one should be much less; I can go look at it if ou like. If the only flaws are those we can see in the interior, they can be fixed.

I'm thinking that was a GPS mount,... or cell phone maybe,..

Cell phone. My current Honda has the same markings, only they are in the soft vinyl pad surface of the center 'pod', not some inflexible material like the trim panel being shown here. What a dork. If I absolutely positively couldn't find any other location to screw a cell phone mount into, I would at least sell the car WITH the mount, maybe even the damn phone!

By the way what is wrong with the radio?

Check the left side - it's obviously been removed at some point - probably for a custom job and the stock unit put back in for sale.

This is one of the two cars I was considering. I had contacted this guy earlier this week. He made no mention of that dash, and knew that I was going to have to drive 4 hours each way to see it. See email:

Joe,

I would like to thank you for your interest in the 2003 Mercury Marauder, my name is Matthew Wheeler and I dedicated to working exclusively with our internet buyers. At pugmire we understand that many people do not have the time to shop for vehicles or simply are not interested in the traditional buying process and I understand that. I look forward to speaking with you to get some preliminary information to make this process as easy as possible for you, contact me at 770.427.9950 or 404.229.7890 on my cell phone. Please contact me as soon as possible because Marauders tend to sell faster than other vehicles because there is a limited number for sale on the open market. I have included a link to the vehicle in case you were not able to navigate to our page already.

I'm liking this website more and more, as I wouldn't have known this until after I wasted 8 hours driving.

Thanks Guys :)

Yeah, I was thinking cell or CB. Yeah, my radio looked like that just a few days ago...all that should need to be done is push it in the rest of the way. At least I hope that's all that's wrong with it!

Joe, I tried to buy a used one from Pugmire but they were unreasonable. I'd suggest Don Jackson in Union City. Their number is 770-969-7229. They have a 2003 used one on their lot for 22,880. The sales guy I dealt with was a straight guy, Gary Nestlehutt.

Look at http://www.local-cars.com/Vehicle_Details.asp?ID=77024. They also have an 04 that is used. Both are black.
