I did 5 stages. Took 8 fricken hours.
#1, dawned the car to remove heavy deposits, wax, and other various junk.
#2, Clay Bar'd entire car. Glass included.
#3, paint correction polish. (Porter Cable Applied)
#4, paint detail polish. (Porter Cable Applied)
#5, Sealant. (Porter Cable Applied)
Results on a 107k mile daily driven car kept outside. SPECTACULAR!

My last MM was black. Actually won an award at a show with it. Only problem was detailing it every 30 minutes. I like the silver as I can go more than 2 days without washing it.

Dude! That's beautiful.
Hats off to a killer-looking SB.
I've got to get on this detailing bus.
What lit your fuse? Pics of the SB with the aftermarket hood? I felt that.

OK, I'll be the one to spill the beans. SBs are the fastest Marauders.

What ignited the fire for me was that a good friend of mine came over last year and used the exact kit on my 03 Cobra (in the back ground) for a car show. Had a ton of comments and was amazed at how it worked. It took the 40k paint and made it look brand spankin new. I saw they had a Father's Day promotion and my wife let me the OK for the kit as my first Father's Day gift. :) I hate the MM being a driveway queen so I try to wash it minimum every two weeks. The next one will be our escape.
Thanks for the complements. It was a lot of work. Felt it in the arms for a few days.

As someone who regularly has to clean one of my cars and go thru the same process I respect the effort it takes to achieve results like that. You did a terrific job.

You could have saved 7 hours of you're time and used quick & slick by croftgate usa and it last 4months

That does not do any type of paint repair or contaminant removal. Its just a sealant.
If you want the right result you have to use the correct tools and put in the elbow grease/time. I used to make fun of people that had trailer queen show cars. Now....I get it.

If you're serious let me know. I plan on doing 2-3 as a side job to help pay for the supplies. My mom is interested but I REALLY don't want to do her 745iL. That thing makes a Marauder look like a compact car.

Looks great man. I recently learned to color sand, buff, and polish. It takes a lot of time and patients but the results are well worth the time. :)

Definitely solid. Looks brand spank'in new!
I suppose there really are no shortcuts to getting it right.

I've never been a fan of silver cars, but Silver Birch is a HOT color! I would rock a Silver Birch any day of the week!

You got that right......
All of the work is in the prep......
Get the paint polished and any sealant or wax will look great.....
You did it the right way and there are no short cuts to a great finish.....
Well done.....
For my SB, I use Menzerna polishes and finish it off with Z-2pro, Z-CS and Z-8......( a two day affair)

I can totally see it being two days. I luckly had a quiet day off work to tackle it. If I was doing a full shampoo interior job It would have been two for sure. My biggest worry was letting it sit over night and getting dust on it.

The marauder looks awesome!!! My brother swears by Adams and I do too after there aluminum polish brought my bold weld wheels on my 93 mustang back to life with almost no effort. Speaking of fox bodies, I love the Saleen!
