Hey all! Just wanted to throw out a question for thought. What do people tend to call your MM?

Mine has been called:

Marooder
Marouder
Black Beast
Black *****

and of course there's the...

WTF is that? :D

Only 2 people I spoke with ever heard of the Marauder. One guy thought I bought the old modle from 69-70. Other peopel call it an old man's car.

I think it's great!!

Think of it as a "Hawaii 5 - o" update for 2003. There is no denying that Steve Mcgarrett looked cool driving that Mercury.......

Some people ask me if I'm driving the "MAVERICK' to work today and I can't figure out why or how this applies to my black beauty. I guess its because they are jealous and totally envious because they can't take their eyes off her etc., I've also inherited the nickname of "The Masked Marauder" which I think is pretty cool....

The family and I call it "THE MARAUDER" - it has been mistaken by others as:

a cop car
the "new Town Car"
a CV LX Sport
an "LTD" - followed by "do they still make those?"
and of course - lots of "WTF is that?"

We called our silver T-bird the "Aluminum Falcon"...you had to have read the MAD Magazine take-off on Star Wars for that to be funny...

The MM is being called the "Winged Messenger" temporarily...until we decide if we want to keep that name or we hear something that makes us say: "Perfect! That's it!". I figure we have until the warranty runs out before we have to make it permanent... :D

I kinda feel bad referring to it as a chubby Mustang

They aren't chubby... just big boned! Or plesently plump... however you want to look at it. ;)

I always think of it as a Mustang on steroids and a lot of time in the weight room.

A mustang who is comfortable with it's maturity

Maturity...

Not a concept comfortable with owning an MM...

IMHO.

I think of my MM as a Limo on Steroids.

It gets lots of strange looks, and people drive squirley when you
pull up on their bumper.

When people ask me what is it and I tell them it's a Marauder made from Ford/Mercury, they say "a what", then my reply is, "a Gran Marquis/Crown Vic. Limited Edition Hot Rod", and then I still get them 1000 meter stares like UH? I love to see their reactions and dumb-foundness like what did he just say. I also got the Cop car repo like I just bought it from a 1-800-277-1818 bank seizure or something. HA! HA!

Yea well,RF PC is WAAAAYYYY overrated.
It's my wife that names all my toys.
My Ducati is,and has allways been,The Other Woman.
If I spent half on my wife that I spent on that bike.......................... ...

I personally refer to my MM to anyone who asked about it as a "Luxury Muscle Car" by Ford/Mercury division. Most of the time they look puzzled but defitenly like the looks and concept of the vehicle. I also get a lot of local cops over at the house for a closer look to satisfy their couriousity.

I recently did a 2000 mile trip in mine. At night truckers CB chatter usually called it a "black Lincoln". It seemed to blow their minds that a big Lincoln could zip by them with such ease.

Just took my aunt to Phila. airport Thursday. Cops let park were ever I wanted too! One of them walked over to the rear of the car and asked me how do I get one? Told him go to his local L&M dealer and get one.
Peolpe do not know what this car is. Never had this fun with car before!
