Announcement: New Moderators!

We are very pleased to announce that we have asked and the invitations have been accepted by Ladyhawke (Chris) and SC Cheesehead (Rex) to become overall website Moderators. The recent discussions did not fall on deaf ears and with the addition of more eyes on the website and more consistency in moderating, we hope these improve the MM.Net experience. Following the Terms of Service, they will have the same authority to delete posts and threads.

It is important to note that it is not only the Moderator's role but also the Membership's duty to report bad posts. Even with two more sets of eyes, there are hundreds of posts a day. We would rather you err on the side of reporting a post than assuming someone else did.

In that light, we are reaffirming the Terms of Service in this post for all to read. We will try to make this simple to understand. We will do our best to be consistent and administer the Forum Rules. Previously exercising any leeway with these topics has lead to arguments and bashing at times so the leeway is now gone.

Although the administrators and moderators of MercuryMarauder.net Forums will attempt to keep all objectionable messages off this forum, it is impossible for us to review all messages.
You will not post any messages that are obscene, vulgar, sexually-oriented, hateful, threatening, or otherwise violative of any laws.


These following topics are not allowed on this message board and will be removed if posted:


Religion, politics, race/racism, abortion
Highly sensitive or controversial subjects that incites arguments
Street racing
Promotion of illegal drugs or illegal activity
Software piracy
Material which is exceedingly false and/or defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, extremely sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, or otherwise violate any law


Also, if a Moderator closes or deletes threads or posts that are in violation of the Forum Rules, any subsequent threads that are started that relate to action taken by a Moderator will be deleted. If the OP feels the need, they may contact the Moderator(s) by means of Private Message.

Noon - First day as moderator is going okay!
6:00 PM - Gordon was so happy for me, he got drunk and started a political thread.
6:00.00005 - I delete it.
6:01- He got mad and announced he was "succeeding from the union!", I think he meant seceding. Whatevs....
6:15 - He spiked a Gadsden flag into one of my indoor potted plants and built a pillow fort in the corner of the living room. Great.
7:00 - He called a truce long enough to go pee, grab a bottle of Black Death, and dive back into the pillow fort wearing nothing but his skivvies and a horned helmet.
8:00 - Casey is posting again, yaaaaaaaaay!
9:00 - Gordon is trying to get the dog to fetch him a sammich.....
9:30 - Gordon announces he "will nuke anyone who tries to invade AfHaggisland!", then farts and starts giggling. *sigh*
10PM - Off to bed, can't wait to wake up and moderate more, maybe I'll ban Gordon completely tomorrow, woo-hoo!!

Glad the forum has taken the stand against those subjects. One reason I did not like & never joined DFW Stangs in the early '00's was because of the trash, the local SVT club could never agree in the early '00's either, my Lightning club from 2003-2008 TALON (Texas Area Lightning Owners North) just turned out around 2008 to be new to Lightnings idiots & old ex-Lightning owners coming back on forum just to start crap. I'm now on Lightning Rodder & Mercury Marauder and pretty happy with both. Thanks to all.
