Any good techs work at a NO VA Ford dealer?? I prefer to take my baby to someone I 'know' and who has done this task before. I have had the wacky wipers and random lights on/off for some time now, guess its time to replace the LCM ?? And dash vent function.....

If you need a dealer. Look up Randy at Jerry's Ford in Annandale.

Ford will charge you around $600 - $700 in parts and labor. Your LCM will fail again.

I can fix it for $75.00, fix is guarantied as long as the car is running.

Fastblackmerc can fix two of your problems.

The wacky wipers can be caused by the wiper cowl drainage getting blocked up and drowning the wiper motor module causing it to fail. To fix it you'll need to pull the wiper cowl out, clean it and replace the wiper motor.

Just send the LCM to Jim at fastblackmerc. He fixed mine in less than a week, and that included mailing to him and getting it back. And Jim uses American parts that don't fail!

Ford wanted to charge me $ 700 for the part (loaded with cheap Chinese parts) and $ 500 for the labor of taking it out and installing the new unit. I had the unit out in 20 minutes. It was back in in 15 minutes, as now I knew how to manage my body under the dash.

and $ 500 for the labor of taking it out and installing the new unit.

Yet dealers continue to wonder why people don't want to bring their cars there. :shake:
