I am running the Elite Series Pro #5678 gauge in a triple A-pillar mount:

Omce shutting the car off after driving for a while, then starting it back up (engine still warm), the gauge reads 3 dashed out lines for up to a minute or 2, then begins it's initial calibration (countdown) as normal.

Once this self check is complete, the gauge is reading as it should. Consistent 14.6 - 14.8 readings. (normal driving)

For you folks that have the AutoMeter digital A/F gauges, are you experiencing this as well?

Before I contact AutoMeter, it made sense to post up and ask here first.

Let's hear your comments.

;)

I'm running an AeroForce Interceptor, can't help you much other than to say I don't have that issue.

Mike, how long are you waiting between shutdown and restart?

Bob, the first time it happened, I was driving for approx 3.5 hours.

Shut the car off to fuel up, and take a potty break. So, approx. 10 min.

The next time, drove for about 2.5 hours, shut it off then about 45 minutes later had to run an errand.

Last night, I went Krogering. Took about 30 - 40 min., same thing.

My AEM widebands calibrate every time I start the car. Takes about 30-45 seconds. It takes up to a minute if the O2 is cold. Remember they are heated elements so the longer the car sits obviously the longer it takes to calibrate.

mine had the 3 dashes and I pushed the left button and it restarted, I only did it once, it might have been a coincidence?

When cold, mine calibrates when I start the car. Until recently, I never saw a dashed out reading until this past weekend.

Just wondering if other peeps were experiencing the same on the Wideband gauges as I am.

Kinda looking like this is not an anomaly after all.

Thanks guys!

You have the Elite series as I do?

no I have the ultra lite series, like the factory gauges, but the only difference is the face and the bezel
