I just put a set of semi-metallic brake pads on.Front and rear.Supposed tobe the ones used on persuit vehicles....Why do I now have brake dust on the fronts when I never did before????Where exactly should the dust shields be positioned???Do you think that's it???

You have more dust on the wheels because the semi-metallic pads create more dust.

Dust shields are usually a disc that is placed between the wheel and the rotor hub.

I wouldn't recommend dust shields as they tend to keep heat in the rotors, pads and calipers.

If you switch to ceramic pads you'll have less dust and the dust you do have will be less visible.

Never had a lot if any dust on my rims, but just did a break job and switched to ceramics...at least in the front. Back coming soon...wasn't in the budget for drilled n slotted though...:shake:
