Ok, we all know the price is high and predicted to skyrocket even further, lets see what we all are paying at this time. As time goes on we can refer back to this thread and either sigh with relief or cry with disbelief

Central Indiana- BP- $1.82 93 Octane
Gas America(local brand) $1.79 93 octane
Marathon- $1.82 92 octane

Post yours, lets compare and see how we are all being gouged by the :censor: oil barons.

St. Louis:
All prices in the South County area.

Phillips 66: 1.81 (92 octane)
Shell: 1.81 (93 octane)
Don't have Chevron in STL...what a crock.
Mobil: 1.85 (93 octane)
BP: 1.83 (93 octane)
South County Costco: 1.76 (93 octane, but who knows where it came from?)

There's one Phillips 66 station just south of the intersection at Butler Hill and Lemay Ferry that has race gas for roughly $3.59/gallon. I say roughly because it's been a few weeks since I was by there last. Our local stations are pretty much all corporate owned (no Mom 'n' Pop places), and the intown prices on Broadway, down by the A-B Brewery are about 10 cents higher. They're calling for the premium prices to sneak above the 2 dollar mark over the summer.

So much for the local predominant theory that Bush/Cheney are responsible for the gas price problems. REAL oil men woulda figgered out how to get the prices down. Some folks around here are thinking of organizing a boycott of the gas stations. Good luck...STL public transportation stinks, and even their little Honda hybrid "green" cars burn SOME gas...

Illinois, immediately across the river, the prices are running about 5-10 cents higher per gallon.

LML, how's St. Charles?

Crown: $1.60
Amaco: $1.65
BP: $1.75
Shell: 1.75
Sphinx: $1.79

(all 93 octane....what I've seen of late, probably changed in the last few days +/- a few)

The prices on this website aren't realistic to what we've got here, so I'm not sure what you guy's will get either...

I hope none of you are complaining about those prices as they would be considered a bargain here!

First of all...can't even get 93 octane.

91 Octane is 2.39 /gallon here in Valencia.

I've got my foot to the floor most of the time so I try not to look at the price when I fill up!

Well I put in 16 Gal of Shell 92 octane at 1.989 in my Blue today. Anybody remember 17.9 at your friendly Sinclair station? I think that included 4 tumbler type glasses. It happened in a little town south of Chicago called Beecher where I spent my Wonder Bread years. I kinda miss the old Green Dinosaur. Sorry for the flash back.

oh yeah, the "Wonder bread" years........."Builds strong bodies 12 ways"......I remember 19.9, free bubble gum, and someone who would clean your windows. Of course, I also remember a time in about 1978 where I noted (maybe a little too quickly) -- "That it would be a cold day in He## before I paid $0.65 per gallon."

But, all said, I kinda agree with JamesHecker. I need 93 Octane (the book says 91 but no one here sells it), I buy 93 Octane and I really don't look at the price per gallon. What's the point.

Of course, I already know my local area is generally priced below some of the other nearby markets. We've got people driving 10-20 miles to buy our gas and save 60 cents.... incredible. :)

I'm with Marty, it's only money, if there's any left in your pockets when you die the undertaker gets it, if you leave it in your will, the kids will fight over it. In Huntsville Chevron 93 1.899, Texaco/Shell 1.919, Conoco (don't use it ) 1.879, Sams (don't use it) 1.689.

Edmonton - Regular 89 octane - 71.1 to 76.6 cents per liter.

That's 2.68 to 2.89 per gallon.

92 octane would be 81.1 to 89.6, $3.06 to $3.38 per gallon, or $2.29 to $2.53 USD per gallon.

Considering that 10% of the US's gas comes from right here in my province, you guys have it good!

Just drove by no-name premium gas @ 2.11 per gallon in Lower Westchester County, NY. Highest I've seen so far. Didn't see the octane.

Below is a link to a story about the Fortune 500 list for '03 figures. In terms of sales, Wal-Mart is first at $258 billion, Exxon Mobil is second at $213 billion (Ford is 4th with $164 billion).

BUT, in terms of PROFITS, Exxon Mobil was first in '03 and totally beat out Wal-Mart. Exxon Mobil earned $21.5 billion, compared to Wal-Mart's $9.05 billion.

What's wrong with this picture?

And these are 2003 figures. Can't wait to see 04's.
