Well, In the past two weekends, I've been to Raleigh,NC ,..on Sat the 13th and on Sun the 14th,.. the opposite part of the state at Asheville ,NC.. both days at least 300 miles each..then , yesterday the 20th ,, took # 7 on a 600 miler all in one day from Charlotte to Brunswick , GA, and back....
In each , the fun never stops and the grins get bigger and the heart beats better than ever in my life--THANKS DENNIS!!! The fun is awesome!!
In my most recent run to GA. yesterday , a stang GT with a hood modification came up fast on I-26 south in SC and I new he must have something cause of it...so I wanted to see what he had..pushed it up to about 90 and he followed VERY quickly--so --I figured it was tag time...so a little more and he followed to 100 and then up to 105 and then I slowed down for traffic--( up to then all was clear on the two lane interstate as far as you can see)--
So his turn --he pulls over to the left lane and passes me at 90 and cause of traffic I followed behind him till traffic cleared and he punched it and I 'm still behind him at 105....can't get side by side for traffic..had to slow for them and to wait for clear ahead..and finally after several of these traffic slows.... I finnally get to see if he wants to "tag" anymore....well after we hit 120 he wasn't anywhere around..except further in rear mirrow......so let off and I wanted to give the thumbs up to him for he did have a good fast car but he NEVER ONCE turn his head to get eye to eye ack's...go figure????
Ms M..says .. WOW--Dennis did good with this engine didn't he?? I said -Oh yeah--and BTW , How's 120 feel--Ms. M says." felt like 70 to me"...say--"that other stuff Dennis put on to keep this baby tight really does work "!
There are more--especially those newer Box type Caddy's and other foreign ones but they too fell to the way side when thay wanted a challenge ---and the drivers "facial amazment and puzzlement" is great to see, cause their car is smaller and supposely faster......
So two weekends, 1200 miles, and alot of suprised faces in the other lanes like Sergent Mac once said to me " she's not lost yet",( referring to his MM) including those I've mentioned and more.....
