I am often in Closter with my Silver Birch, as my mother-in-law lives there. If you hang around that neighborhood often, give me a shout and we'll have a two Marauder car show at a local DQ or something. I live in Maywood, NJ (8 miles south of Closter).

I'm also a Bergen County dweller, Paramus, but I don't own a Marauder.

If you want to attend a great cruise night, and don't mind a bit of a ride, go to the Bear Mtn cruise on Wednesday evenings.

The MM may be too new to be parked with the older cars (as is my 03 retro/TBird), but you never know.

A whole section is dedicated to newer cars and another section to motorcycles.

All parking is on grass. About 150 cars, plenty of room, food and beer vendors, very nice layout, and a lot cooler than Bergen County.

The only downside, I got a bit nervous driving my Galaxie home at dusk along the Seven Lakes Parkway. Beautiful ride, but too many deer.

My Mustang Club and Shelby clubs go there often. You are correct. The late models (after 1972) are not offered the grass filed like 5 years ago. Then, any american muscle was welcome. We even had old band play on the field. One night, the Vanilla Fudge played....and broke their guitars on the stage...as normal.
Now I have to take my '70 BOSS 302 when I go. The '93 GT is good enough..even though it has 620 RWHP and 545 ft-lbs of torque. I haven't even tried the Marauder. That is really too new for them.
Bear Mtn Inn used to get over 600 cars on a Wednesday night during the summer. We saw movies on the lawn after dark. The trip home on the PIP was like the Indy 500.

Next time I go to Bear Mtn, I'm heading up earlier and packing a cooler with some soft drinks and a sub sandwich. The guy that does my heavy lifting mechanical work has two absolutely beautiful 66 TBirds, a dark blue convert and a Landau, gold/beige. He wants to cruise up with me.

Do you hit the Whiskey Cafe in Lyndhurst on Saturday nights?

I missed last night, but I'm planning to go next Saturday, weather permitting.

Don't know which car to take yet. Probably the retro TBird, and save the Galaxie for a Sunday car show.

Next Saturday, if I'm all packed for my cruise the next day, I try to make Whiskey's.
Shall I bring a Mustang or the Marauder?

Tough choice.

You'd most likely be the only Marauder there, but the crowds get drawn to the Mustangs. (I know this from experience. My Galaxie gets lost sometimes when there's a ton of nice Mustangs around.)

I'll bring the Marauder. My '70 Boss and '93 Stroker go there all the time.

If you guys want to park side by side, I suggest getting there early, otherwise you'll be parking in the meadows.

Never made it last Saturday.

All set to go with the 64 Galaxie when a big dark cloud came over my hose, so I punked out.

Got a few sprinkles; that was it.

Went to a Sonics cruise night last Friday on Kennedy Blvd, North Bergen. (My old stomping grounds in the early 60's).

Heavy Cuban population. Met a couple of nice guys who shared their stories about the old cars that are still running the streets in Cuba.

One guy just had a low mileage 1958 Old Super 88 shipped to the USA.
